Houston police are investigating a fatal shooting of a man at 410 North Sam Houston Parkway East service road that occurred about 8:05 p.m. on Sunday (December 6).
The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives C. Lamont and L. Lange reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting in a strip center parking lot at the above address. Upon arrival, they found the victim suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to an area hospital by Houston Fire Department paramedics where he was pronounced deceased.
Investigators learned two males were conducting a transaction with a third male when a robbery occurred and the victim was struck by gunfire. After initially fleeing the scene, two of the suspected shooters returned and were interviewed by detectives. They have been released pending further investigation.
