Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 2705 Reed Road

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of one male and the wounding of another male at 2705 Reed Road about 1:55 a.m. on Tuesday (October 25).

The identity of the deceased male is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  A second suspect, 21, suffered multiple gunshot wounds.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives M. Perez and L. Kauffman reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at a convenience store at the above address and found a male with multiple gunshot wounds inside the store.  The male told officers a second male had been shot and was in the back parking lot.  Officers checked the area and located the unresponsive male in the parking lot where responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced him deceased.  The male inside the store was transported by paramedics to an area hospital in stable condition.

A preliminary investigation determined a light-colored sedan drove to the back parking lot of the store and fled the scene a short time later at a high rate of speed westbound on Reed Road.

At this time, there is no known suspect description.
