Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 12100 Sandpiper Drive

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 12100 Sandpiper Drive about 2:55 a.m. on Saturday (January 14).

The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Arrington and Detectives J. Jorsch, M. Nicotra and D. Stark reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at the above address and found the victim, with multiple gunshot wounds, lying in the street.  Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the man deceased.

According to witnesses, an unknown male suspect was seen walking away from the victim.  The male got into the driver’s side of a black or dark gray, four-door Mercedes Benz sedan and fled the scene northbound on Sandpiper Drive.

The suspect is described only as a black male in a tan jumpsuit.
