Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 1203 Elberta Street about 7:30 p.m. on Sunday (January 19).
The victim, Edwin Alejandre, 19, was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives R. Moss and E. May reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address. Witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots and a vehicle crash. They then found Mr. Alejandre slumped over in his vehicle after it struck a nearby fence on private property. The witnesses stated two unknown suspects fled the scene on foot. Paramedics transported Alejandre to the hospital.
At this time, there is no known motive for the shooting.
