| Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 8200 Cullen Boulevard about 6:05 p.m. last Friday (October 22).
The identity of the female victim, 66, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant F. Briones and Officer X. Zhang reported:
A silver Ford Focus was making a left turn from Sunflower Street to drive northbound on Cullen Boulevard and was struck on the passenger side by a gray Ford Focus, traveling at a high rate of speed northbound on Cullen. The driver of the turning vehicle was transported to an area hospital where she was pronounced deceased. The male passenger in the silver Ford was transported to an area hospital in serious condition.
The driver of the gray Ford Focus remained at the scene and was determined not to be intoxicated. He was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.
No charges have been filed at this time, as the investigation is continuing.
