Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 7900 North Loop East (North Interstate Highway 610 East) about 11:15 a.m. on Sunday (Sept. 15).
The identity of the male victim, 23, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant K. Harris and Officer J. Perrotte reported:
The victim was operating a blue Yamaha motorcycle and traveling westbound on the North Loop East when he failed to control his speed and struck the rear of a gray Chevrolet Avalanche. Paramedics transported the victim to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
The investigation is continuing.
