Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 7500 Navigation Boulevard about 6 a.m. on Tuesday (June 8).
The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rodriguez and Officer A. Hart reported:
The driver of a black Chevrolet Silverado was traveling westbound at the above address when the vehicle struck the victim, who was in a wheelchair in the roadway. The driver stopped. Paramedics transported the victim to an area hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
The male driver, 30, was questioned, did not show any signs of intoxication and was released without charges at this time.
The investigation is continuing.
