Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 6000 North Freeway (North Interstate Highway 45) about 5:50 a.m. on Sunday (June 9).
The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant K. Harris and Officer J. Tran reported:
The victim, a pedestrian, was running across the main lanes of the freeway at the above address when he was struck by a black Dodge Ram pickup truck.
The male driver of the truck stopped at the scene and was questioned and released after it was determined he showed no signs of impairment.
The pedestrian, who was at-fault in the crash, was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation is continuing.
