Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 505 Aldine Bender Road about 12:15 a.m. on Sunday (January 12).
The male victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rose and Officer R. Romo reported:
The victim was driving a red Honda Accord northbound on Lillja Road when he crossed all traffic lanes and crashed into a telephone pole at the above address. The Honda overturned, ejecting the driver, who died at the scene.
Based upon evidence found in the vehicle, alcohol may have played a role in this crash.
The investigation is continuing.
