Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 4900 Tidwell Road about 5:30 a.m. today (February 21).
The identity of the male victim is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Ross and Officer L. Ho reported:
Witnesses stated the victim was acting erratically and running back and forth across Tidwell. A gray Nissan Frontier traveling eastbound on Tidwell struck the victim and failed to stop. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Nissan later returned to the scene and gave a statement to officers. No charges have been filed at this time.
The investigation is continuing.
