Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash at 3800 South Loop West (South Interstate Highway 610 West) about 1:30 a.m. today (Sept. 1).
The identity of the male victim, 37, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Griffiths and Officer D. Hoang reported:
The victim, a pedestrian, was walking in an eastbound lane when an unknown vehicle also traveling eastbound struck him. The driver of the vehicle failed to stop and render aid. Paramedics pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
