Houston police are investigating a fatal auto-pedestrian crash that occurred at 3200 South Dairy Ashford Road about 10:25 a.m. on Monday (September 16).
The male victim, 70, was transported to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital where he was pronounced dead. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Ross and Officer D. Kizzee reported:
The victim was standing on a street curb at the above address when he either stepped or fell into roadway. He was struck by a black Toyota Sienna minivan. The driver remained at the scene and was questioned and released.
