| Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 18100 Gulf Freeway (South Interstate Highway 45) about 4:05 a.m. today (October 5).
The identity of the male victim, 31, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant E. Fendia and Officer B. Roberts reported:
The victim was driving a gray Jeep southbound on the Gulf Freeway service road and struck the rear of a tractor-trailer truck parked in a moving lane of traffic while making a delivery to a car dealership. The victim died at the scene.
The investigation is continuing.
