Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 16300 South Post Oak Road about 10:05 p.m. on Wednesday (Aug. 14).
The identity of the male victim, 45, is pending verification by the Fort Bend County Medical Examiner’s Office.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Griffiths and Senior Police Officer J. Broussard reported:
The victim, a pedestrian, was walking in the street at the above address when he was struck by a black Mercury Mariner traveling northbound on the same street. The male driver, 18, stopped to render aid to the victim until paramedics arrived and pronounced the man deceased. The driver was questioned, did not show signs of intoxication, and submitted a blood draw. No charges have been filed in the case.
The investigation is continuing.
