Houston police have learned a man critically injured in a crash at 14100 Memorial Drive about 2:45 p.m. on December 12, has died.
The identity of the deceased male, 73, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Ross, Officer M. Tamez and Westside Patrol Division Officer T. Nguyen reported:
The male was driving a black Ford Edge westbound at the intersection of Memorial Drive and Bateswood Drive when a grey Honda CR-V traveling southbound struck the Ford. Preliminary investigation indicated the Ford ran a red light and responding patrol officers cited the male for running a red light.
The male was transported to an area hospital where doctors pronounced him deceased on December 30.
The female driver of the Honda, 43, and her passenger were not seriously injured.
