Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 10900 Beechnut about 10:05 p.m. on Saturday (October 19).
The female victim, Denise Ellison, 42, was transported to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant R. Romo and Officer D. Rose reported:
Ms. Ellison, a pedestrian, was northbound at the above address when she darted across the westbound lanes of Beechnut and was struck by a black Dodge Journey. The driver of the Dodge, who showed no signs of impairment, remained at the scene and was questioned and released.
A preliminary investigation indicated the driver was not speeding.
The investigation is continuing.
