Suspects Arrested, Charged in Incident at 7100 Scott Street

Charges have been filed against three suspects arrested  an incident in which shots were fired at HPD officers in the 7100 block of Scott Street about 5 p.m. on Sunday (March 18).

One suspect, Brent Williams (b/m, 17), is charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle in the 182nd State District Court.  Two other suspects, Bernard Robinson (b/m, 17) and Leonard Murphy (b/m, 18), are charged with evading on foot in Harris County Criminal Court # 15.

No HPD officers discharged their weapons in the incident.

HPD Major Assaults Unit Officers C. Sharp and R. Montalvo reported:

HPD patrol officers, riding in a two-man unit, attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a stolen dark blue Acura TL occupied by at least four suspects.  The suspects refused to stop and officers initiated a vehicle pursuit.  During the pursuit, one of the suspects fired several shots at officers but did not strike them.  The Acura crashed near the above address and all four suspects fled on foot.  Robinson, Williams and Murphy were taken into custody after a short foot pursuit.  A fourth suspect, described only as a black male, remains at large.
