HPD Homicide Division Officers T. Colbert and R. Klementich reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a person down call at the above address and found a young child (Dayleon) deceased in the apartment.  The child appeared malnourished and had several lacerations and bruises on his body.

HPD homicide investigators, as well as the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services and the Harris County District Attorney's Office, conducted a joint investigation and determined Stevenson's and Lewis' roles in Dayleon's death.
