Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the shooting of a man at 5601 Royal Palms about 11:10 p.m. on Monday (Sept. 25).
The suspect, Michelle Brown (b/f, 49), is charged with aggravated assault of a family member in the 339th State District Court. A photo of Brown is attached to this news release.
The victim, Harry Cooper, 57, of the above address, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
HPD Major Assaults Unit Officers B. Salazar, A. Williams and G. Black reported:
Brown and her boyfriend, Mr. Cooper, were arguing at an apartment complex at the above address. During the argument, Brown shot Cooper. She was subsequently arrested without incident.
