Suspect Arrested, Charged in Shooting at 10000 Club Creek Drive

Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the shooting of a man at 10000 Club Creek Drive about 9 p.m. on Sunday (November 5).

The suspect, Gerardo Munoz (H/m, 24), is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 262nd State District Court.  He is accused in the shooting of Martin Bartolo-Guzman, 26, who is in stable condition at an area hospital.

HPD Major Assaults Unit Officers A. Williams and B. Salazar reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to an area hospital and determined Mr. Bartolo-Guzman had been shot in the neck and arm and then drove himself to the hospital.

Further investigation identified Munoz as the suspect in this case.  He was taken into custody without incident and admitted to his role in the shooting.  Officers recovered a gun from Munoz's residence.
