WHAT: Giving Tuesday is a national day for giving back to the community and that’s why JetBlue is launching its #CheckinForGood. Building on JetBlue’s signature Soar with Reading literacy program, designed to inspire and encourage kids’ imaginations to take flight through reading, volunteers will be checking at elementary schools impacted by Hurricane Harvey where HPL libraries are still closed. JetBlue volunteers will help operate “Pop Up” libraries, distribute free books and host reading events, alongside partners Simon & Schuster Children’ Publishing at Shadydale Elementary, Kashmere Gardens Elementary and Braeburn Elementary.
