Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man and woman at 6626 Cullen Boulevard about 5:20 p.m. on Sunday (March 25).
The victims, Damion Patrick, 19, and Lakia Chavis, 20, were transported to an area hospital and are expected to survive their injuries.
HPD Homicide Division Detective C. Sharp reported:
The victims were inside their vehicle in the parking lot of a gas station at the above address when unknown black male suspects in a black Kia Soul pulled up alongside them. One or more persons inside the Kia then fired multiple shots, striking both victims. The suspects then fled the scene.
The Kia was later located at 6400 Liverpool and was determined to be stolen.
