Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man and child and wounding of two other persons at 6233 Gulfton about 10:40 p.m. on Sunday (Oct. 15).
The deceased male victim is identified as Miguel Marquez, 31. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The deceased child, identified as Ashley Perdomo, 4 years old, was pronounced dead at Memorial Hermann Hospital.
Two wounded victims, Zibullah Sahok, 30, and Carol Perdomo, 35, were transported to area hospitals. The man is in critical condition and the woman is in good condition.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives C. Hogue and L. Lovelace reported:
Officers responded to a shooting call at an apartment complex at the above address and learned four people had been shot, including a child and her mother. Witnesses stated the victims were gathered outside in a breezeway area when an unknown male suspect opened fire. The suspect is believed to be a Hispanic male.
