Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 2400 Katy Freeway about 1:25 a.m. today (May 19).
The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant E. Fendia and Officer J. Best reported:
The victim was operating a Harley Davidson motorcycle the wrong way (westbound in the eastbound lanes) on the Katy Freeway when he struck a gray Volkswagen Passat traveling eastbound in the eastbound lanes. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The female driver of the Passat was transported to St. Joseph Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. She did not show any signs of intoxication. A passenger in the Passat was not injured.
The investigation is continuing.
