Cause: The cause of the fire is believed to be weather related

 

Details: Firefighters arrived to find smoke and fire coming from a large exterior roof vent of a three-story apartment building. Crews entered the third floor of the building and found fire in a void space between the roof and ceiling. The fire was quickly extinguished. Firefighters began smoke removal operations and checked the structure for possible fire extension. None was found. No injuries were reported. This incident was deemed under control and tapped out at 4:24 p.m. 37 HFD units responded to this incident. The roof will need to undergo repairs from a company like Water Damage and Roofing of Cedar Park, so it’s once again habitable.
